I do not feel the video taught me any thing I didn't already and there was NO info how to work with the collar and leash. There was no info on how to adjust the collar to make it smaller or smaller. I am very disfatified with the product and certainly would not recommend it to anybody. If there is a way to make the collar smaller please let me know. Also the price way out of line.My emailis lpnvlb@***.com or home phone is 419 636 **** and I would prefer a phone call or a email.

Thieves and ***-men.

These foul pigs used to drive through my neighborhood in St.Petersburg on a weekly basis. A few of us neighbors got together and filed complaints with city officials, along with the police. Now, if one of those nasty thieves comes through here, all we have to do is get the license plate info and turn it over to the police, and they will arrest the *** little turds. Those meat salesmen are nothing but thieves and liars. I look forward to seeing them go to jail. They are the very lowest of the low. I would encourage every neighborhood to do the same as we have. File complaints, and report these bozos every chance you get.

Did you find a new job yet?

Guest

Your just mad cause you cant afford good food ...I happen to know some of those guys and they give good deals and have good food .. ...sounds to me like your the only pig in that neighborhood

Guest

If this was in Saint Petersburg, why does the location say Warick RI?

Guest

What exactly is your complaint about this company? They are providing a service.

You get a product.

You agree to buy the product. Do you have a complaint like they didn't give you a product and took your money or what?

Guest

They reported you for not feeding your 4 pitbulls. Your neighbor.

Guest

you know there are a lot of jobs out there lower than door to door meat sales, sham on you for judging, you too will be judged one day and it might not be pretty for you.

Guest

perhaps it would help if you mention what they were selling? ranting like you did does no good as it doesn't explain what they were trying to sell

Now i see

About a year ago I bought food from a young guy in a pickup....it sucked....I later got on this website to vent some steam but quickly realized I was not alone in this and read many similar situations.....that being said.....about a week ago another fella pulled up , however in a very prof. Looking van thing, I let him have it.... after letting me vent on him he explained to me that he had been with the company multiple years and was very familiar with the ''guys in the trucks'' as he put it....he claimed that it isn't hard to buy utility grade beef from any of several vendors, and it is easy for people to sell for profit...he claimed that for years people have used their name along with companies like Omaha to gain legitimacy at the door....anyway after buying into his story (he was very charasmatic) I bought a package of beef for around 250 dollars from him, surprised that I got a receipt and a pamphlet and he encouraged me to check out the website.... the food was great....not good....great....I called the number on the receipt as he was driving away, surprised at the time they actually answered it made me feel better....anyway....no what you are buying...no pickup trucks they are posing as someone else. . . The guy in the truck didn't even have the same packaging... I will buy again

Salesman claims to hold checks for up to two weeks.

Elderly mother on fixed income was promised that the salesman would not cash her check until after the 4th of the month, stating "we do it for Military people all the time." next day My mother gets an alert from her bank stating that she is over drawn. Over draft fee cost an additional $35.00 and she had to go get a Payday Loan which cost her an additional $60.00. she paid $300.00 for the meat and could have gotten more for her money at the grocery store. Salesman Frank, when asked what happen to holding the check, says this " I give the check to the company and if they cashed it, It has nothing to do with me.

As sad as it is that it happened, she knew the dilemma she'd be in if that happened to be cashed prior to the agreed to date. Nobody cared about the date on the check but her and it's obvious. Remember that you can't float checks anymore; ESPECIALLY with a person who doesn't care if you have a dime or not.

Direct USA - Seriously Disturbing!!!!

A DirectUSA vans was coming through my neighborhood at a slow rate. I was taking pics of my yard when I heard the van speed up…I turn around & see the driver heading straight for my neighbor's cat! He saw me & swerved to miss it, but not sure he’d have done so, had I not been there. I’m on a culdesac so he had to drive back by my house. I go over to motion the cat out of the road & he FLOORS it like he’s coming after ME! WTH is wrong with this guy? Ive notified DirectUSA but doubt they'll do anything. Based on this guy’s character, I’d NEVER do biz w/them!

Taking advantage of Elderly

I think it is unacceptable that this company would send people out into the neighborhoods to sell their product under the pretense of quality product. One of there representatives stopped by my 85 year old mother's home and sold her a bill of goods! Same tired speal - delivery in the neighborhood/left over supply. REALLY! Taking advantage of the elderly, you should be ashamed!!! Going to try to return the product and hopefully this company will do the right thing and return my mom's money. She is on a limited income and every dollar counts. Shame on this company and shame on the individual who sold it to her!!!

INSIDE SECRET!!!!!!

I used to work for this company and it is a door to door sales company... Dont fall for the "I got left over meat from my deliveries bs", they go door to door trying to sell meat... Each box of assorted meat goes for about $20 PER BOX, and $99 for a whole case... thats the base cost, anything they get over $99 is going in their pocket so dont fall for anything more than $100 for a whole case of meat if you think it isnt worth it! The seafood i think is basically the same price... Hope this helps whoever wants payback!

I had a guy named Russell that came to my house on 1/8/13.He said his boss had a truck full of meat & no room to put it & so he wanted his guys to go door to door to sell it. He kept on pushing me to buy some of his meat & I ended up buying 1 box of 8-6 Oz.of Filet Mignon for $20.00 but instead I got 8-6Oz.of Filet of Sirloin. The meat was tough that you couldn't even chew it.

Russell tried to get me to use a debit, food stamps or a credit card & which I didn't. I paid him in cash and there was no receipt either. They came out of Yorkville, N.Y..I tried to call the company and Russell's cell phone but no answer on either. Russell's cell phone didn't have a voice message either. The company & the people that works for them should be put in jail & pay us our money & then some.

I took pics of the meat, flyer and the box that the meat came in. I'm disabled & on a fix income. I'm really mad about this & something needs to be done about it.

If they tricked me into buying their *** can you imagine what they would do to the elderly. They are real scammers & I didn't think it would ever happen to me. Please tell me what I can do about this problem.

These are mostly alcoholics and drug addicts that live in hotels or flop houses . (There are a few smart ones that have genuinely made a life selling meat door to door, but mostly scammers) They work for these companies on 100% commission.

The idea is for them to go out and SLAM (as they call it!) as much meat off their trucks as quickly and for as much as they can get, with the incentives of bonuses provided by a branch manager. They actually pay the company they work for around $100 per case. The company buys pallets of these meats from packing houses or brokers fro around $50.00 a case. The company charges the drivers credit card fees and truck charges.

They will load up in the morning with around 10 cases , drive out (usually to a small town 50-100 miles from their office) and either knock on doors with stories like , "I deliver to the neighborhood", "I missed a delivery", "So & so couldn't take their order", " My customer died"..Whatever, you get the idea. The meat by the way is represented as being the most tender product available..Their objective is to 'Build the Value'! The meats are packaged pretty, but this is definitely not top of the line! the old meat companies ( I shall not name) actually use to sell 'Utility' meat that was 'needled to death (to break down gristle) and soaked in a solution to 'deteriorate' or 'breakdown' the product to be tender (often turning it to mush).

After nationwide complaints , lawsuits , ect..Many of the 'Outfits' decided to 'Upgrade" (Somewhat!) to Select Grade Beef ( next grades would be Choice and then Prime). Select is fine, many grocery stores handle it. The problem with the meat 'Outfits' are the blatant misrepresentation 'tactics' they use. ( Their excuse for knocking on your door for example..THEY ARE GONNA GIVE YOU A DEAL!!!

LOL!) The little round steaks, often wrapped with bacon? Those aren't filet mignon! Carefully spoken , the salesman will say , "Now these are your 'Filets' ". Technically , true since meat without a bone is a filet.

But it is a "SIRLOIN" filet...This is the strongest card in his deck because as he builds value he is going to compare these to Filet Mignons (Often wrapped with bacon!) He/she will often propose the question ( to draw you in). "Ma'am/Sir what would you pay for a good 'Filet' like these in the store in the store? $12-$14 a piece?" Their objective is to always relate to portions ( cost per piece) ..NOT POUNDS! Because that big box of meat is eye candy!

But actually weighs around 16 lbs...Mostly sirloin and hamburger...all average grade beef at! Meat is sold by the POUND, NOT BY THE PIECE!! If you get it for $80, you'll be alright...But before you can think , they will have you believing it is worth $350 ++. They will 'CLOSE' you with a beautiful , professional, colored brochure.

Showing what the are (supposedly) having to turn in today....BUT!! If you can 'HELP THEM" 'THEY' (The driver) will give you a deal!!

They are quick, cunning and desperate....I know I was one of them...Once, for 15 years...THAT LIFESTYLE....IS NO MAN'S LAND! Don't support it, don't be *** and ....DON"T BE A SUCKER!!

Guest

These guys showed up at my house one time. I lived pretty far off of the beaten path and it wasn't easy to get to my house but they still showed up...and then wouldn't leave!

No matter how many times I told them I wasn't interested they kept trying to sell me, giving me sob stories about over-ordering. I told them I wasn't interested again and again but they wouldn't leave, so I told them I would be right back.

I went inside, grabbed my shotgun, charged back outside and told them they had until the count of ten to get off my property before I started firing. Never saw them again.

This isn't even the boxes that our product comes in? This isn't even our brochure? You should get your facts correct before you post comments!

Doesn't matter...Same junk...Different outfit...Your *** Men ( I know you like to call them drivers)..Sell drugs, stolen merchandise and anything else they can while driving around in 'your' trucks smoking *** all day...Why couldn't they have sold this ***? Do your 'boxes' have fillet mignon's in them???? Or is it the same junk..Sirloins , cut to look like a mignon!?...How do you live with yourself, being the ultimate ***?!

Guest

I'm glad I did some checking and saw the comments here. I just had a guy come to my door with the same story - extra meat they had to sell.

Luckily, I told him I am a vegetarian and did not buy anything.

I also checked BBB and found a lot of complaints there. Unfortunately, people don't have the time to do this kind of checking when someone comes knocking at their door.

Guest

I spoke to Mark Douglas, an investigative reporter from Tampa (the metro area where Direct USA is based) about this company, and it might be worth contacting him to tell your story. His e-mail is mdouglas@***.com.

Direct USA is bad news, man.

I have seen them in various places in Tampa, and their sales guys are all scam artists and are really sketchy. I even saw them harass an old couple at a KOA campground, and I asked the security team to kick them out and they did.

John N Mzy

As you probably realize by now, this is an old scam. I have had these guys come to my door a few times over the years with the same, tired old story: we have too much for the truck and need to get rid of some, very cheap or my boss over-ordered and no room, etc.

The most important thing for people to think about is: why would you buy food from someone knocking at your door?

Do you know anything about what kind of food it is? It's condition?

about the guy selling it?

Best to just tell them you are not interested.

The odds are in your favor Steve James. Bad check.

Really? What do you expect you're rolling the dice by taking checks. But it's a numbers game and you know the good outweigh the bad. Too bad it isn't the same for the customers when you're teams of roving drug addicts cram your over priced garbage down the throats of well meaning Americans.

You unapologeticly take advantage of the American consumer.

You have no soul.

Bad Customer Service & Overall Experience with company

A Direct USA meat Salesmen showed up at our front on a Saturday afternoon while my wife and children were home alone. Salesmen did a good job presenting product to my wife and she called me since we make decisions together. Salesmen told my wife, "If you call your husband he will say 'no'." I told my wife I was uncomfortable and was reading bad reviews online. We agreed not to go forward. The salesmen continued to pitch to my wife and knocked off even more money and asked my wife to reconsider since this was his "last stop" and he wanted to get home to family. She agreed and purchased $129 worth of meat. Afterwards her and I began to search out more reviews and found out how poor the product was - causing illness to many people. I immediately called the salesman who told me he was at another customer's home. (Even though he had told my wife she was his last stop.) I was upset and demanded a refund, understandably he responded with his own frustrations, telling me my wife was "a responsible adult who made a choice." After speaking with him, I called my credit card company to try and stop the charge. It was too late. In fact, they told me it was registered as a "partial payment" - this concerned me. Next, I called Direct USA only to get their voicemail. Monday morning (48 hours later) I received a call from Direct USA. They understood my concern and consented to pick up the product either later in the day, or more likely the next day. I received another call back from a rep who wanted to "make sure" I wanted to return the product. I told him I did and he said he would call back an hour later to schedule a pick up time. 2 days later, on Wednesday, I called and left a voicemail telling them what was going on and that I was getting upset. 2 more days went by and on Friday I left a final voicemail at 9am that was returned a few hours later. Now I was talking to the "District Manager" who said we would have a rep at our house the next day for pick up. She assured me it would be the #1 stop of the day and that the sales rep would call me at 10:30am to give me a time of pick up. The next day came, I did not receive a phone call at 10:30am. Finally, I called at 11:30am and he told me that he would be there in 40 minutes. About an hour later he showed up, his partner got out of the truck and helped me pack up the meat. I told him I was not confident in the product because of online reviews, he told me most reviews are "disgruntled employees" - for the record, I am not a disgruntled employee, just a husband who was upset at this whole situation. I will say that I DID try one of the burgers and found it to be fatty and inedible. My wife is pregnant and we didn't want to risk testing out any more meat.

Direct USA sued their distributer for selling them "quality" meats that were not good. They refunded tens of thousands of dollars to consumers, and won their lawsuit, AND ended their relationship with the distributer.

The distributer had to pay out, and the company has changed it's name to Ocean 6, and I tried THEIR meat. It's actually very good, and I fed it to my family.

I will buy more again, as it is not their fault they had a bad experience years ago, that sunk their name. Do your research and put the blame where it belongs.

Uneducated ***

Their truck pulled up to my house and a hyper looking kid started pounding on my door. He asked if I wanted to buy meat and I said I do not eat meat. He asked why and I told him I gave it up because it is all over processed garbage and I buy local produce. He then said his meat was USDA choice and was not processed. I asked him if it was grass/grain fed and he said it was. Then I asked him if they give the animals hormones or antibiotics and he said no. I could smell the scam and thought I would entertain myself some more, heck I had a .357 revolver in my pocket incase something happened. He would answer whatever question I asked with what I wanted to hear. I told him I didn't have the cash (I am an engineer with alot of money). He said what about a check? I said nope, just moved to the area. He said what about a credit card? I said no thanks, I don't feel like getting ripped off, I don't even eat meat! Bottom line is, these guys are a ripoff. Bunch of losers. A little upset I couldn't come up with a good enough reason to shoot the f*cker.

I used to work for this company and you guys are right on in your opinion of this company.

When you're hired they actually teach you how to lie and use the brochure to sell the product. As far as the meat, all I know is that it is shipped in on a big truck then stored in a freezer.

As for the people, well most are ex-fellons, drug dealers, drug users,

losers and all are *** artists because they will tell you up front that this job is not for everybody. I quit after 1 week of working with these greedy creeps.

I think the whole thing might be mob related. Just keeping it real!!!!

Direct usa one are unprofessional and dirty

They entered my place of business, and needed to use restroom, cause local gas station was out of order... then had the nerve to call and ask if we excepted toys.....offered her vibrators ..even though she block the call I knew the voice. Then left, and went to another location, and went speeding by. I think some vans are out joy riding rather than selling food. I have never been SO insulted before in my life... I see there are a lot of complaints...maybe you should close your business down. Or teach employees how to be out it the public.

Direct usa is a scam and their workers are druggies

2 shady looking characters knocked on my door today, i told them to hold on while i got a shirt on (more like grabbed a pistol and put it on my side). i opened the door and one looked like he had been snorting cocaine all day. talking 80 mph and stuttering. they started off asking me if i eat meat. they said they were part of direct usa and they were making their deliveries but they had a bunch of meat left over they needed to get rid of because somebody didn't have the money for their order. who orders meat in bulk online without a payment up front??? they had came to my house a week or 2 before at like 8 at night when my wife was home and had company over, and i definitely didnt like that. they asked me if i could open my garage so they meat wasn't in the sun, so i did. they both came in my garage with 2 boxes of steaks and chicken but instead of talking about the meat they were asking me about my motorcycles and looking around my garage trying to see in my door to my house. right there i knew it wasn't right. i told them i didn't have the money because my mortgage and car payment were coming up. they said they would take a check dated to my next pay day and i said i didn't have any. they kept trying to get me to buy but i finally said look no matter what the price is i don't have the cash so they left. since then i brought one of my motorcycles in the house along with my tools. it seemed more like they were looking for stuff to steal rather than trying to sell meat. the whole situation has me a little paranoid i guess. i'm no dummy and can smell a scam from a mile away, and after reading all these scam reviews from them i now know my gut feeling about these guys was absolutely right. their costumer service will be getting a very nasty phone call from me in the morning. i wouldn't recommend anybody buy meat from a door to door salesman. these guys screamed scam and i didn't feel comfortable with them by my house.

Steve, quit trying so hard to defend a company built on lies and deceit. Your trying too hard pal!

Sit back and relax!! You've made millions over the years, navigating your company through the minefields of dissatisfaction. You don't care, so don't pretend you do! As long as there are people with jobs, there will be suckers out there.

P.T. Barnum reminded us of that! C'mon Steve, you've been at this long enough now. You just keep putting those little trucks/vans out there with whoever you can convince to get out there for you and continue to deceive and disappoint.

You'll be alright...You like thinking of yourself as a bigshot!

But when it's over and you can't take it with you, you'll wish you played your cards with a bit more integrity.... By they way...The rumors are catching up ...Keep those lawyers on retainer.

This particular Direct USA employee is a former US Army Ranger, has a Bachelor's in Electronic Engineering from Purdue, dresses in polo shirts and khakis, does 90% of his business through regular customers and referrals, and YES, probably earns THREE times what this uninformed sad individual does. Maybe before commenting, he should actually try the food or at least ask the opinion of someone that actually has.

FACT: this company does hundreds or even thousands of transactions daily through many offices nationwide and the only bad press is a select few sad cases as this individual. I'd say that's pretty good!

Congratulations! You've drank the Kool-Aid!

Simply put, the consumer buys 'YOU'! They identify with you and you with them. I am sure they like you and that is primarily why they buy. The product IS NOT good 'tarider'.

If you really think so...a) You have no idea what quality is ..or..b) You feel in love with 'K' Rations while in the Army.... By they way, thank you for your service. And congratulations on your degree. I'm sure you could put it to good use somewhere.

You'd certainly be providing a better service to humanity with those skills, more so than unloading that junk on the streets...Signed, Former U.S. Navy Seal. ...By the way 'tarider', the Chinese unload millions of dollars worth of toys covered in lead paint into the U.S. daily...Do the few children who encounter this represent the few sad cases when brought to press??

athey're doing pretty good too!....Mr. Ranger SIR!

Guest

They didn't want me to think about the price of the meat so instead they looked all around my garage and took a look into my house like they were scoping the place out? Great way to make a sale!

Make the. Ostumer feel like they're about to be robbed next time they leave town!

Guest

@meat man. If they make better money it's all going up their noses.

Maybe if they were a little more professional, didn't show up to my house after dark, and didn't look like they were coming down off a 3 month cocaine binge they would have made a sale.

They can have the biggest house in the world but at the end of the day they sell meat to random people knocking door to door. I'll pass.

The deal is they didnt want your stuff they just didnt want you to think about the price they make good money and might have a bigger house then you
